Frequently asked questions
How do I use the app?
Take a photo of the item you're unsure about — or describe it in a few words. The app identifies it and tells you which bin it belongs in, why, and what to do first, all according to the sorting rules of your selected area.
Do I need an account?
No. The app works without an account and without signing in.
How do I change my area?
Tap the area name at the top of the screen and pick another one from the list, search for it by name, or let the app detect it from your location. Answers adapt to whichever area you select — across Lithuania, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
Which languages does the app support?
English, Lithuanian, German, Finnish, Swedish, Danish, Estonian, and Latvian. Answers are written in the language your app is set to.
An answer looks wrong — what should I do?
On the result screen, tap "Not identified correctly?". You can re-scan the item from a few angles or leave a note that helps us improve. Keep in mind that answers are informational — when in doubt, check your local authority's official guidance.
How does the drop-off map work?
When an item shouldn't go in a household bin — batteries, electronics, bulky items, deposit containers — the app can show nearby drop-off points on a map. Availability of drop-off data varies by area.
Are my photos stored?
Photos are sent to our server for recognition and kept for no longer than 48 hours, after which they are deleted automatically. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Why isn't scanning working?
Item recognition needs an internet connection. Your history and area selection keep working offline. There is also a daily fair-use limit on scans — if you reach it, try again later.
Is there an Android version?
Kur mesti? is currently available for iPhone. Follow this page for news.
